He was predeceased by: his parents, Franklin Louis and Marian Stewart (Hayward); his brother Franklin Hayward Stewart; and his sister-in-law Linda Lee Knapp. He is survived by: his wife Laura "Lori" Lee Stewart (Knapp); his children, Marie Pitcher (Wayne) of Carthage, MO, Naomi Phillips (Charles) of Clever, MO and Michael Jay Stewart Jr. of Clearfield, UT; his grandchildren, Nikol Phillips, Ashley Torkelson (Ben), David Phillips, Mikayla Stormhaven (Greg), Melissa and Nathan Stewart; his sister Susan Albanesius (Richard) of Dewitville; his niece Donna Crandall (Ronald); and his nephews, Dale and David Albanesius (Lisa).
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in his memory and sent to the Chautauqua County Humane Society, 2825 Strunk Road, Jamestown, NY 14701 or to the NYS Veterans Home, 220 Richmond Avenue, Batavia, NY 14020.
