He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd and Jesse Taft Sr. (Moore); his granddaughter Fallon Chamberlin; and his siblings, Floyd Taft Jr., Nancy Dashner and Carol Grey.
He is survived by: his wife Bertha "Bert" M. Taft (Bentley); his children, David L. Taft of Jamestown, Daniel L. Taft of Ellington, Dixie L. of Ellington and Donna L. Hitchcock (Jeff) of Ellington; his sister Dorothy Swires of Severn, MD.; his grandchildren, Justin Chamberlin, Jeffery Hitchcock and Sierra Hitchcock; and his great grandchildren, Robert and Dylan Chamberlin.
