He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Maynard and Edna Maynard (Keyes); and his siblings, Geraldine, Earnestine, Wanda, Martha, Howard and Ione.

He is survived by: his siblings, Edwin Maynard (Charlotte), Darlene Stockton and Thomas Maynard (Julie). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
