She was predeceased by: her parents, Lemuel Elliott and Sylvia Edna Nurss Oakes; and her siblings, Louise Boyer (Donald), Richard Oakes (Peg), Ester Carpenter (Cliff), James Oakes (Carm), Viola Mann (Harv) and Laura Harrington.
She is survived by: her husband Steven Szabo; and her son Raymond Szabo of Salem Oregon. She is also survived by 5 granddaughters.
