He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Tilley and Cora Tilley; his daughter Tracy Lee Tilley; and his siblings, Raymond Tilley, Shirley Trombley, Arlene Pepper and Barbara Trombley.

He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Pepper Tilley; his children, Roger Scott Tilley, Caren Crocilla (Frank), Lynne Rawson (Jack), Charles Patrick Tilley and Corey Thomas Tilley; his grandchildren, Frank Crocilla (Jenna Mazza), Nicholas Crocilla and Brooke Servello (Matthew); and his friends, Bob Boothby, Wayne, Joanna Carlton and Thomas Whitman (Oscar). He is also survived by his brothers and sisters-in-law, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
