With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Robert E. Hughes of Queensbury, New York, who passed away on June 19, 2023 at the age of 75. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Hughes and Thelma Hughes (Edmonds); and his brothers, Joe, Russell, Leo, Mike and Wally.
He is survived by: his wife Susan Periard Hughes; his children, Danielle Bishop (Brian) of Lake Placid, NY, Michelle Beaney (Mike) of Lake Placid, NY, Robert J Hughes of Lake Placid, NY and Katie Mae Gonyea (Travis) of Jacksonville, NC; his grandchildren, Skyler, Emma, Brooke, Briar, Wyatt and Everett; his siblings, Judy Koch (Doug), Jeff Hughes (Kim) and Greg Hughes (Lori); his aunts, Pat Butler and Gladys Hastings; his cousins, Tom Edwards (Patti) and Terry Mitchell (Steve); his pet Maggie; his uncle George; his aunt Rita Edwards; and his parents-in-law, Gene and Agnes Periard. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to C.R. Wood Cancer Center A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Friday June 23rd at 11:15am in Our Lady of the Annunciation Roman Catholic Church, 448 Aviation Road, Queensbury.
