She was predeceased by: her parents, Wesley H. Martin and Eva M. Collins; her husband J. Hugh Sutphen; her children, Thomas W. Newton and Kenneth P. Newton; her grandson Benjamin Simpson; and her siblings, Charles W. Martin, Muriel Martin and Marjorie LaDue.
She is survived by: her daughters, Kristine Peterson of Titusville and Kathryn Simpson (Newton) of Grand Island, Florida; and her grandchildren, Cully Vogt of Ohio, Shelly Platt of Florida, Jeremiah Carter of Ohio, Christopher Barr of Ohio, Margaret Smith of Indiana, Meagan Avila of Indiana, Sarah Gulick of Ohio, Deborah Chapleski of New York, David Newton of Texas, Adam Newton of Texas and Andrea Newton of Ohio. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
