It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Stavros M. Mourkakos (Queens, New York), who passed away on January 11, 2025, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Stavros leaves behind and his impact on the lives of his loved ones. Though Stavros may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the memories held dear by his family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
He is survived by: his wife Paraskevi; his child-in-law Stacey; and his grandchildren, Stavros, Panagiotis and George.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Joseph Farenga & Sons (38-08 Ditmars Blvd, Astoria, NY 11105). A funeral Mass was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the St. Catherine and St. George Church (22-30 33rd St, Astoria, NY 11105).
