With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Claudia Stern (Queens, New York), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 8, 2025 at the age of 69. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

As Claudia departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Claudia may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Claudia leaves behind.

She is survived by: her husband Jeffrey Stern; and her children, Sabrina Kroeger, Chelsea Stern, Gabrielle Akilov, Jenna Stern and Philip Stern. She is also survived by five grandchildren.

A funeral service was held on Tuesday, February 11th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the Sinai Chapels (114-03 Queens Blvd, Forest Hills, NY 11375).

“Jeff, I just learned the sad news of Claudia’s passing. As you may remember, Claudia and I worked together for quite a few years at OPD. We spoke a number of times after I left, and She was always forthcoming with information to the extent she was professionally and ethically able, but what I remember most is Claudia’s laugh and her often motherly life advice, though younger than I. 🙂 Of course, there were those Chrisnukka parties.
