It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Nancy V. Smith of Quaker Springs, New York, born in Passaic, New Jersey, who passed away on March 11, 2023, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Velders and Helen Bell Velders; and her sister Janet Brandis. She is survived by: her husband Halsey Smith Sr. of Quaker Springs; her children, Timothy Baker (Terry) of Fort Miller, Tara Baker (China) and Darla Baker (Michael) of Greenfield Center; and her stepchildren, Halsey Smith Jr. and Linda Hobschi of Hudson Falls. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 4 step-grandchildren; several great and great great grandchildren.
