He is survived by: his wife Joan Kennedy; his daughters, Vickie Nissen, Karen Flemmig (Dietrich) and Sophia Degl (Greg); his grandchildren, Candice, Kurt, Tylor, Erika, Olivia, Jahna, Johanna, Finja and Charlie; his great grandchildren, Charlotte, Finley and Ryker; his brother Hermann Nissen; and his daughter-in-law Dawn Nissen.
