He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Kaufer and Irene Kaufer; and his brother George Kaufer. He is survived by: his wife Karen; his children, John (Maria) of Queens, NY, Patricia (Evan Krakower) of Plantation, FL and Jennifer (John Coppola) of Yorktown Heights, NY.; his grandchildren, Justin, Andrew, Bruce, Samantha, Jordi, Christopher and Gabriella; his great grandchildren, Mia and Atlas; his sister Mellie Firstenberg of Brooklyn, NY; and his pet Doodle Brooklyn.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or the ASPCA.
