He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Nichols and Marjorie Nichols (Bain); his stepdaughter Cheryl Ramey; and his brother-in-law Robert Rock. He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Nichols (Foster); his children, Edward Ramey (Melissa) of Dresden, Jennifer Armstrong (Mitch) of Madrid, NY, Sarah Rockenstire (John) of Granville and Julia Houghtby (Kris) of Whitehall; his stepsons, Richard Ramey (Kim) of Hampton and Gary Ramey (Betty) of Whitehall; and his siblings, Daniel Nichols (Ann) of Whitehall and Joan Rock of Putnam Station. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, one great-granddaughter, several nieces and nephews, and many cousins.
