He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Gibson and Dorothy Gibson (Cole); his wife Geraldine Preston; his grandson Donald Cole Howe; and his siblings, Joyce Gibson, Joan Putnam, Janice McAllister and Jerry Gibson.
He is survived by: his children, Edward, Terry, Vicki and Sherri; his grandchildren, Samantha, Chris and Stephanie; his great grandchildren, Jacob, Parker, Dominique and Hunter; his great great grandchild Layana; and his sister-in-law Elaine.
