He was predeceased by: his parents, Leon G. Dunbar and Bessie Dunbar (Finster); and his siblings, Harwood, Roy, Marion Spicer and Ruth Halsey.

He is survived by: his wife Kathryn; and his daughters, Donna Warner (Warren), Dawn Penoyer (Larry) and Maureen Dunbar. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews and grandnieces, grandnephews.
