He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Reiter and Mary Fitzgerald Reiter; his daughter Julie Reiter Tetrault; his granddaughter Jenna Tetrault; his son Ted Reiter; and his sisters, Joan McDonald and Shirley Friedman.

He is survived by: his grandsons, Drayce and Teigen Reiter of Pulaski; his daughter-in-law Angela Reiter (Patrick Hartough) of Pulaski; his son Bruce Walker (Rose) of Sandy Creek; and his brother Richard Reiter (Patty) of Virginia. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
