He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles E. Wheeler and Nettie L. Wafful Wheeler; and his siblings, Kenneth, Laura Mae, Libbie and Edith.
He is survived by: his wife Phoebe Britton; his children, Casey Wheeler (Donna) of Columbia City, OR, Albert Wheeler (Patricia) of South Portland, ME, Stephen Wheeler (Karen) of Lacona and Sarah Wansink (Nick) of Pulaski; his grandchildren, Ryan Wheeler (Summer Unsinn), Claire Wheeler (Petra Rowan Rhines), Emily Wheeler (Zoe Latil), Stephen Wheeler II, Benjamin Wheeler (Bethany), Samantha Wheeler, Colin Wansink and Libbie Wansink; his great grandchild Áine Wheeler; and his niece Peggy Kennedy. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
