He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Potter and Alice Mattison Potter; and his sister Ann Emond. He is survived by: his wife Michele Cusick Potter of Manlius; his daughters, Valerie Sovie (Joseph) of Ogdensburg and Heather Potter of Manlius; his grandson Ayden Sovie; and his siblings, Barbara Mousaw (Joel), Ellen Potter and David Potter (Janette).
