He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Gurley and Alice Gurley; his sister Jean; and his grandson Christopher. He is survived by: his spouse Virginia-Annette Delmar; his children, Robert Jr., Marcia Tocci (Peter), Nancy Hodge (Rick) and Ursula Lindley (Tom); his grandchildren, Robert J. Gurley, Devon F. Gurley, Nadine Gurley Huntsman (Isaac), Christina Gurley, Lynne Tocci, Brittany Tocci Pryun, Cody Hodge, Taylor Hodge Beadle, Jacob Lindley, Alex Lindley, Katie Lindley Jonard and Michael Dema; and his great grandchildren, Lincoln, Crew Huntsman, Arabella Gurley, Tanner Hoke, Lukas, Nathanael Pryun, Quinley Hodge, Jackson, Blayke and Griffen. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Decker Funeral Home (5312 NY-23, Windham, NY 12496). A Mass was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St Philip Neri Church (60676 NY-30, Roxbury, NY 12474). The military honors was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 at the Fairlawn Cemetery (14881 NY-23, Prattsville, NY 12468).
