He was predeceased by: his parents, Issac Ruit and Minerva Ruit (Sterkenburger); and his sons, Robert and Ronald Ruit. He is survived by: his wife Gladys C. Laux; his son George; his daughter-in-law MaryAnne Ruit Pembroke of Massachusetts; his son Thomas Ruit Millerton of New York; and his daughter-in-law Gail Ruit Poughkeepsie of New York. He is also survived by five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
