He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Marie Wilhelmina and Martin Franzen; his brother Friedrich; his husband Phil Franzen-Nicholson; his stepchildren, Gregory and Grayce; and his cousin Hannelore Simonsen. He was also cherished by three grandchildren.
