He was predeceased by: his parents, Colonel Otto Rohde and Cecile Cote Rohde; his former wife Marie Ann; and his sons, Christopher John and Gregory Paul.
He is survived by: his wife Carol; his children, Kurt Rohde and Alicia Vaccaro; his grandchildren, Cara, Anthony and Emma; his children, Michael Rohde, Susan Rohde and Daniel Rohde; his grandchildren, Cecilia, Anaya and Viola; his stepson Stephen Connolly; and his stepgrandchildren, Joanna, Allison and Samantha. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
A celebration of life was held on Friday, March 28th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Paul's Episcopal Church (161 Mansion St, Poughkeepsie, NY 12601).
He dedicated himself to his community, generously donating time and expertise to numerous charitable organizations including Abilities First, the Anderson School, and Family Services.
