With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Vasilike Celie Kustas (Poughkeepsie, New York), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 12, 2025 at the age of 95. She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Callas and Martha Callas; her husband William G. Kustas; her son George W. Kustas; her sisters, Maxine Bitsianes, Maria Callas and Thalia Urbanski; and her friends, Ruth Pittler, Barbara Wiest and Pauline Taricco.
She is survived by: her daughter Marta Normann (Einar) of Highland, NY; her grandsons, Josh, Chris and Kyle Normann; her great grandchildren, Jared, Evan, Drew, Jaiden and Esperanza; her brother Michael Callas (Judi); her sister-in-law Callie Kustas; her nieces and nephews, Tom Anderson, George Kustas, Sophia Smith, Kiki Steele, Marisa Wolpert and Samantha Fetter; her goddaughter Olga Marcasciano; and her great-nieces and great-nephews, Kallie, Kathleen, Chloe, Mikela, Olivia and Ben.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, March 18th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home (371 Hooker Ave, Poughkeepsie, NY 12603). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, March 19th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Kimisis Greek Orthodox Church (140 S Grand Ave, Poughkeepsie, NY 12603).
