With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Shirley Louise Alston of Poughkeepsie, New York, who passed away on January 26, 2024 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur West and Margaret Herdon West. She is survived by: her brother Curtis Johnson of Poughkeepsie, NY; her children, Kim M. Edmonds of Walden, NY, Mark Edmonds of Poughkeepsie, NY and Scott Edmonds of Tolleson, AZ.; and her grandchildren, Khori Grant, Khalia Grant Thorpe, Martayah Edmonds and Marlena Edmonds. She is also survived by great-grandchildren.
