She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Ponessa and Julia Ponessa; her husband Francis Sciarra; and her brother John Ponessa. She is survived by: her children, Michael Sciarra of Lyman, Juliann Sciarra of Poughkeepsie and Janine (Matt Miraglia) of Poughkeepsie; her grandchildren, Tony (Tanya Sciarra) and Kristen (Alex Cameron) of Cumberland, ME.; her great grandchildren, Lynette Cameron and Luca Sciarra; and her stepdaughter Susan Fawcett (Stephen).

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
