In the vast expanse of eternity, John shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid John farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John J. Halvey and Margaret Forrestal Halvey. He is survived by: his significant other Su Biggio; his siblings, Ellen Norman (Harry) and Peter Halvey; and also Su's.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 2nd 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, October 3rd 2024 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Riverview Funeral Home (2 Beekman St, Beacon, NY 12508). A graveside service will be held on Thursday, October 3rd 2024 at 11:30 AM at the Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery (342 South Ave, Poughkeepsie, NY 12601).
Memorial donations in memory of John may be made to either the Food Bank of the Hudson Valley or to the Dutchess County SPCA.
