He was predeceased by: his father John A. Banks Sr.; his siblings, Hararis Banks (Ray), Robert D. Banks Sherman Head, Madeline Robinson and Nina Head; and his grandson Corey Banks Jr..
He is survived by: his children, Clarissa Whitaker, Tara Cave of Smyrna and Corey Banks of Ohio; and his siblings, Therman Banks of Virginia and Dorothea. He is also survived by grandchildren and great grandchildren as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
In Lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made in John's memory to the Veterans Food Pantry.
