He was predeceased by: his parents, James J. Murphy and Rosemary Ramos Murphy Sr.. He is survived by: his daughters, Michelle Murphy of Poughkeepsie and Melissa Green (Sean); the mother of his children Evelyn Murphy; his brothers, Richard (Lillian Murphy) of Floral Park and Michael Murphy (Marika Powers) of California; his grandchildren, Brittany Albertson, Sean Green Jr., Savannah Mojica (Josh), Zoe Green and Phillip DelVecchio; and his great grandchildren, Mason and Charlie Mojica.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, March 25th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home (371 Hooker Ave, Poughkeepsie, NY 12603). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Wednesday, March 26th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Holy Trinity Church (775 Main St, Poughkeepsie, NY 12603).
