With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Giovanni A. Giammatteo (Poughkeepsie, New York), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Giovanni left this world on November 30, 2024 at the age of 89, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Girolomo Giammatteo and Luigia Giammatteo; his siblings, Rolando Giammatteo (Giovanna) of Queens, Esperanza Guerriero (Alfonso Guerriero) of Poughkeepsie and Fernando Giammatteo of Highland; and his sister-in-law Stephanie.
He is survived by: his brothers, Mario Giammatteo (Kathy) of Poughkeepsie and Renato Giammatteo of Poughkeepsie; his wife Rosa; his children, Anthony and Cathy Giammatteo; his grandchildren, Chiara and Giancarlo; his children, Joann and Phil Mylod; his grandchildren, Erica and Christopher; his children, Lisa and Larry Haynes; his granddaughter Samantha; his children, Bobby and Rosie Giammatteo; and his grandchildren, Sofia, Olivia and Roman. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 6th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the G. Miller & Son F. H. (371 Hooker Ave, Poughkeepsie, NY 12603). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Mount Carmel Church (97 Mill St, Poughkeepsie, NY 12603).
