He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Hess (Hank) and Eleanor Vroom Hess; and his brother Henry G. Hess of Poughkeepsie, NY.. He is survived by: his wife Carol Jean Zammiello; his children, Andrew James Hess of Wappingers Falls and Deborah Ann Hess; his granddaughters, Jadyn Carol, Tehya Joan and Sadye Deborah Colao; and his sister Lorraine Del Santo. He is also survived by several nieces nephews, and cousins.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 6th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home (371 Hooker Ave, Poughkeepsie, NY 12603). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 at 9:45 AM at the Our Lady of the Rosary Chapel of St. Peters Church.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Ronald McDonald House in Jerry's name.
