Frances Elmendorf Obituary
We are sad to announce that on February 18, 2025, at the age of 95, Frances Elmendorf of Poughkeepsie, New York passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Frances may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Frances touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Stanley Steen and Maude Osterhoudt Steen; and her husband Robert L. Elmendorf. She is survived by: her children, Bruce Elmendorf (Carol) of Murrell's Inlet, SC, Stanley Elmendorf (Linda) of Hyde Park, NY, Jeffrey Elmendorf (Peggy) of Mayfield, NY, Gary Elmendorf (Andrea) of Poughkeepsie, NY, Linda Pellicane (Karen Foster) of Stone Ridge, NY and Lori Elmendorf (Tracey L. DiBrango) of Poughkeepsie, NY. She is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the G. Miller & Son F. H. (371 Hooker Ave, Poughkeepsie, NY 12603). A funeral service will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Hopewell Reformed Church (143 Beekman Rod., Hopewell Junction, NY 12533).
