With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Brenda Baratta Smith (Poughkeepsie, New York), who passed away on July 13, 2024 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Katherine Baratta, and William G. Baratta, Sr.; her brother William G. Baratta, Jr.; her daughter-in-law Wendy Gannon; her stepsons, H. Arthur "Buddy" Smith III and Scott Burrows Smith; and her nephews, Gregory Baratta and Nicholas Gannon.
She is survived by: her husband Arthur Smith II; her children, Thomas J. Gannon Jr. (Cynthia) of Hyde Park, Patrick J. Gannon, Lecia C. Gannon (Billy Hawver) of Poughkeepsie and Dr. Kristi M. Gannon of Waldwick, NJ; her grandchildren, Christian, Alecia, Leda, Kaylee, Brandon Gannon (Melissa) and Devon Azcuy; her great grandchildren, Olivia and Charlotte; her sister Christine Baratta Soricelli (Albert); her sister-in-law Rita Baratta; and her goddaughter Katie Soricelli. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
