He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter F. Sr. Smutz and Ruth M. Smutz (Ober). He is survived by: his wife Sharman M. Bellardini; his children, Christopher, Kellie Smutz of Norwood and Marcy Smutz (Greg Moore) of Norwood; his grandchildren, Riley Smutz (Joclyn Ward) of Parishville and Sici Kahrs (Trevor Rawls); and his nephew Travis. He is also survived by his daughters and son.
In lieu of flowers, those wishing may consider memorial contributions to be made in his memory to the Potsdam Humane Society, American Heart Association, and American Cancer Society.
