She was predeceased by: her parents, William K. Mitchell and Mildred L. Mitchell (Finch); her son George A. Ovigian; and her brother Lawrence W. Mitchell. She is survived by: her spouse Richard Timothy Vasser; her daughter Melissa Z. Clark of Paducah, Kentucky; and her siblings, Judy A. Russell of Potsdam, Mary C. Donahue of Potsdam, William G. Mitchell of Rockaway and Terry P. Finch-Mitchell of Forestville. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
