She was predeceased by: her husband James MacDonald; her siblings, Everett Butterfield, Charles Butterfield, Dorothy Randall, Shirley Nelson, Joyce Russell and Elizabeth Wright; her son-in-law Harold LaShomb Jr.; and her parents, Lawrence Butterfield and Margaret Butterfield (Gary).

She is survived by: her children, James "Jimmy" MacDonald (Lois) of Waddington, Roger MacDonald (Joanne) of Potsdam and Judy LaShomb of Potsdam; her stepdaughter Roseanne Czarnocki of Utica; and her siblings, Richard Butterfield of Parishville and Linda Hayes of Norwood. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
