He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth P. Planty and Beulah Planty (Baldwin). He is survived by: his wife Meribeth Barton; his children, Pamela McDaniel (James) of West Virginia, Laurie Lavelle (James) of Clifton Park, Kenneth P. Planty (Katrine) of Pierpont and Deborah Planty of Hopkinton; and his siblings, Sally Planty of Parishville, Dona Chevier of Parishville and Leland Planty (Marilyn) of Parishville. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren.
