He is survived by: his children, Joseph P. Collins Jr. (Jennifer) of Bombay, Sheena Trautman and Tracey Collins; his brother David Collins; his sister-in-law Arlene of Moosup; his mother Ruth Friend Collins; and his wife Diane Lauer. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 3 nieces.
