With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John Karl Benjamins (Potsdam, New York), who passed away on September 29, 2018 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He is survived by: his spouse Janet; his children, Maija and Jani; his grandchildren, Ella, Mina, Jordyn, Serena and Karlis; his siblings, Antons Abers and Ieva Benjamins Abers; his sisters-in-law, JoAnne Sullivan and Joyce Heath; and his cousins, Ilona Pryor and Anita Alcarez. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, you may donate to the YMCA; Boston University or to the University of Utah.
