He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Collins and Bernice Collins (Hazelton); his granddaughter Rachel Collins; his sister Irene Manfred; and his half-sister Virginia Ling.
He is survived by: his former wife Judith D. Palmer; his wife Judy; his children, Brian Collins of Ithaca, Christopher Collins of Geneva, Robin Snyder (Richard) of Potsdam and Rebecca Collins of Potsdam; his grandchildren, Randy, Ryan Snyder, Lauren Collins and Chelsea Beamis; and his sister Una C. Frank of Potsdam. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
