He was predeceased by: his parents, William and Jessie; and his brothers, Duane and Darrell. He is survived by: his sons, Tim Butterfield (Cindy) of Lexington, KY and Gary "Jamie" Butterfield (Lisa) of Newark, NY; his grandchildren, Kara, Jonathan, Colleen and Melissa; his stepgrandsons, Aiden and Zachary; and his siblings, Don Butterfield (Shirley) and Nola Henry. He is also survived by six great grandchildren.
