She was predeceased by: her parents, Nathan Cherry and Zella Cherry (Shaver); and her sister Margaret Arnold. She is survived by: her former husband John Sherwood; and her children, Elizabeth "Betsy" Paul of Chantilly, VA, Cheryl Barnes of Massena, Deborah French of Baldwinsville, Harold Sherwood of New York Mills and Scott Sherwood (Kathy) of North Lawrence. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, and several great grandchildren.
