He was predeceased by: his parents, George Startup and Eva MacKechnie Startup; and his sisters, Barbara "Bobbi" Schock and Jean Jones. He is survived by: his wife Joan Dowling; his children, Kathy Spears (Gary), Patti Ey (Lenny), Reenie Nicolette (Kevin) of Port Jervis, NY and David Startup (RoseAnne); his grandchildren, Michael Spears (Amy), Scott Spears, Lisa Cirulli (Ray) and Steven (Kara); and his siblings, Keith Startup (Pat) and Diane Hartwell. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Russ to St. Jude Children's Research.
