He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Chester Avery and Rose Bradford Avery; his close friends, Clyde Tomlin, Cindy Piatt and Betty Collins; his nephew Brad Wilcox (Tricia); his great-nephew Sam Wilcox of Fresno, CA; his son Kevin Dunn (Taylor); his niece Carol Wilcox Bazemore (Ed Bazemore) of Raleigh, NC.; and also Kendahl of Woodland, CA.
