He was predeceased by: his parents, Adalino Scopino and Arliene M. Young Scopino; his son Carmine Scopino; and his brother Adam Scopino. He is survived by: his wife Hedy Scopino of Forestburgh; his children, Debra Ann Martin (Ralph) and Richard A. Scopino, Jr. (Dawn) of Easily, SC; his daughter-in-law Sherry; his grandchildren, Tiffany, Brandon, Anthony and Kayla; his great grandchild His; his brother Thomas Scopino (Debbie); and his sister-in-law Cathy Scopino. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
