She was predeceased by: her parents, George Henry Kurtz and Leila Quick Kurtz; her son Walter H. Howell, Jr.; and her siblings, Daniel Kurtz, David Kurtz, Thomas Kurtz, Julie Ellson, Sheila Roberts, Betty Reilly and Beth Morris.
She is survived by: her husband Walter J. "Wart" Howell, Sr.; her children, Nancy 'Sue Duryea (Joe) of Port Jervis, NY, Penny Orben (Sean) of Port Jervis, NY. and Matthew Howell of Port Jervis, NY; her siblings, Barbara Ogrodnick of Huguenot, NY and George Kurtz (Pamela) of Port Jervis, NY.; and her daughter-in-law Joann Howell. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
