He was predeceased by: his parents, Alva Conklin and Beatrice Conklin (Oppelt); and his siblings, Alva Conklin, Jr., Marcus Conklin, Sr., Willard Conklin, David Conklin, Phillip Conklin, Francis "Fran" Conklin, Gloria Conklin, Dolores Gunderman, Crystal Rudy, Patricia Brennan and Frieda Finley.

He is survived by: his children, Tracey Weidner-Conklin, Duane Conklin, Tanya Conklin and Steven Conklin (Lisa); his sister Naomi Turner; his grandchildren, Jennifer, Joseph, Jasmine, Justin, Caleb, Noah, Joel, Skyler, Ian and Luis; and his great grandchildren, Joey, Lucy, Mila, Zander, Sebastian, Audrina and Lex.
