He was predeceased by: his wife Marion DeGroat; his son Dennis S. DeGroat; his son-in-law Roger Vantuyl; and his grandson Rocky Konikowski. He is survived by: his children, Fred DeGroat (Diane), Babe Vantuyl, Connie Mandakis (Ed Ragan), Susan DeMarco (Jerry), Harry DeGroat (Tammy) and Marion Konikowski (Bob); and his daughter-in-law Jodi DeGroat. He is also survived by his 2 sisters, 20 grandchildren, 47 great-grandchildren, 19 great-great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
