It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Amy Jo Lynn Smith of Port Jervis, New York, who passed away on January 15, 2025, at the age of 47, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her grandparents, Peter, Sharon Price, Lawrence and Shirley Skellenger; and her father-in-law George F. Smith, Sr..
She is survived by: her mother Bess Price Skellenger; her husband George Smith, Jr.; her children, Emily and Peter Smith; her father David Skellenger of Huguenot, NY; her sister Julie Skellenger (Richard Belcher) of Cuddebackville, NY; her mother-in-law Linda Aten of Sparrow Bush, NY; and her brothers-in-law, Frank Smith of Sparrowbush, NY and Daniel Smith of Monticello, NY. She is also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 20th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Gray-Parker Funeral Home (100 E Main St, Port Jervis, NY 12771). A funeral service was held on Monday, January 20th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Monday, January 20th 2025 from 12:15 PM to 12:30 PM at the Mt. Hope Plains Cemetery (13 Mt. Hope Road, Otisville, NY 10963).
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Pike County Developmental Center, 107 West Ann St., Milford, PA 18337.
