She was predeceased by: her parents, William Heemsoth and Anna Oedding Heemsoth. She is survived by: her children, James J. Whelan and Mary Anne Weiss; her grandchildren, Melissa Lixfield, Renee Sarria (Carlos) and James Weiss (Denise); her great grandchildren, Conor and Regan; her husband James H. Whelan; and her daughter Laura McGeahy. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
