He was predeceased by: his parents, Jane Hanchett (Gilbo) and Rufus Hanchett (Jap); and his brother Douglas Hanchett. He is survived by: his wife Stephanie Hanchett (Wojewodzic); his children, Jennifer Fleury (Corey), Becki Hanchett and Ward Joseph Hanchett (Brandy); his siblings, John Hanchett (Linda), Tom Hanchett (Karen), Edward Hanchett (Kathleen), Jeffrey Hanchett (Ginny) and Tina Hanchett-Gardner (Allen); and his grandsons, Owen, Evan Fleury, Addison, Porter Hanchett and Carter Hanchett.
